Duratec aluminium tandems are beautifully handmade in the Czech Republic with all the welds filed smooth, a finish only usually seen on our own handmade bespoke steel frames. Over 20 sizes are available in our Duratec Tandems making them the easiest choice for tandems.

Our high-quality Duratec Tandems are manufactured from tubing specifically made and drawn for tandems. 7020T6 Aluminium is used with a wall thickness of 1.8mm at the joints and butted to 1.4mm in the centre of the tubes. The post-weld strength of 7020T6 is greater and therefore gives a stronger, lighter frame. The material used, its butting and lightness make for a stiffer frame with better power efficiency and handling, but not at the expense of comfort.
