Great bike shop and a great team of people.I went for a frame building course and I would highly recommend it, the patience and expertise of Rob made it a wonderful experience, he even put up with my never ending stream of questions and I do ask a lot of questions.In short, if your into your bikes, historical suroundings and fancy a challenge give it a go, you'll be glad you did, start the week with a box of tubes, finish with a frame.Top job guys.

Did a frame-building course around 2 years ago, amazing knowledge in fitting, tubing, brazing, finishing etc etc. Amazing knowledge from such a 'small' bicycle shop. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
Just picked up my Thorn tourer from Bicycles by Design for some minor work and a safety check prior to a cycle tour. As ever the team were extremely helpful and knowledgeable on all aspects of cycle maintenance. My first visit was last year when they expertly fixed a bent derailleur hanger when the original frame builder said it was beyond repair. Pete, Rob and his great team come highly recommended!
