Description
A frame intended for more demanding cyclists. It displays an innovative approach to advanced components, these being the rear multi-gear Rohloff hub and belt drive. The bike is ideal for cyclists who want to forget about chain problems and know the advantages of a belt. It is intended for everyone who can afford luxury workmanship and relatively more expensive bike fittings.
The frame construction utilises light, large-diameter double-butted tubes, which better resist the dynamic strain and offer the rider faster reaction and good handling due to their rigidity. The “Biaxial S-bend” seat stays are dimensioned in the direction of the impacts coming from bumps in the terrain, and their shape ensures slight springing and thus ride comfort. The right seat stay can be detached to allow the insertion of a belt, which is the transmission element (Gates Carbon System), in the frame. The belt is tensioned by an eccentric housed in the bottom bracket. Rotating the eccentric tensions the belt to the required value for optimum power transmission. Use of the Rohloff 500/14 multi-gear hub significantly reduces maintenance demands and offers the advantage of maximum functional reliability and long lifespan.
